What is success for you? A friend of mine recently asked the question of, do most people actually want to be successful? And I think this comes down to what success is. We've got these influence out there talking to us about how success is making millions of dollars and being famous and having millions of followers and the jets and the planes, the jewelry, and the fancy clothes, and the fancy bags.
Is that your idea of success? Maybe it is. And if that is, that's great. But for most of us, and I expect most of you listening, it's not. You don't want a private jet, you don't want a Bentley, you don't want a Lamborghini. You have a different idea of success. Maybe it's about impact. Maybe you want to have respect.
Maybe you just wanna have a comfortable, easier life. You want to have time to visit the woods or the mountains. Spend time with your family. Go on vacation, swim in the Caribbean, go on cruises. Who knows? What is your idea of success now, when you find yourself not willing to work, you can't take. Those actions, you can't get motivated.
It's not always a lack of motivation. Sometimes it's simply you don't want to go where your directions are taking you. The idea of success that you've set as a goal is someone else's idea. You are not passionate about it, and you don't want to go there and something inside you is telling you this isn't the right way.
So the first step is to identify what is. Your concept of success, what do you really want? And it doesn't matter if it would make someone else happy, it matters if it would make you happy. Your calling is between you and your creator, which means your idea of satisfaction is between you and your heart and your soul.
And once you align with that, it becomes easy to get work done. It becomes easy to take action. It in fact, becomes hard not to take action because that is what you are meant to do, what you're drawn. To what you're pulled to. So be honest with yourself. What is your idea of success? And then allow yourself to be drawn towards it.
