Today is gonna be a good day. I know that because you're gonna decide to make it a good day. I don't know that 'cause you're listening to me. Okay? I don't know that. Maybe you won't make it a good day. It's up to you. But you can choose to make today a good day. Even if you're down, even if you're gloomy, even if you're feeling bummed out and things aren't working for you, you can still decide to make it a good day.
See, this is where people get things twisted. They think, oh, I gotta think positive. I gotta have a positive mindset and a positive mental attitude. Otherwise, things won't. Go, well, no, no, no. You don't have to have a positive mental attitude. You don't have to have a positive mindset. You don't have to be happy.
You just have to decide. Today's gonna be a good day. The things that are gonna come, the things that are gonna happen, they're gonna be good. By which, I mean, I'm going to filter my perceptions to focus on the good things. I may still be gloomy, tired, bummed out, and feeling bad, but I'll be focusing on the good things.
Don't fight those negative emotions. If you're feeling bad, that's okay. You can feel bad. That's okay. That's a thing. You feel feelings aren't wrong. But don't marry those feelings. Don't say, I'm a person who feels bad. I'm a bad feeling person. Now you're just a person. And right now the emotional state you are in is not feeling so good.
And then you're gonna be a person who's not feeling so good in a day. It's good. And if you then decide to. Allow your mood to be aligned with the positive day and the good things happening with you. That's cool. And if you don't, that's cool too. Take away the tension. Take away the conflict. Take away the I shoulds.
Don't should all over yourself. Feel the way you feel, but shift your perceptions on what you're seeing. Shift your focus in order to shift your perceptions. Decide it will be a good day. Filter for evidence that supports that conclusion, and then let whatever happens from that happen, you don't have to force it.
You don't have to fight it. You don't have to make anything happen. Shift your filter and let whatever happens in your head happens. It's all okay. How you feel is okay.
